Services our process

Step Three: Getting started

After the discovery meeting, we prepare a Site Map that encompasses all of the information chosen to appear on the site. This Map graphically represents the actual flow of the site, showing how the users’ experience will lead them from one web page to another. At this point we can confirm that our original estimate was correct, or make any required changes.

We then dedicate an exclusive Intranet Web site to your project and place the production schedule there for you to view. We send an invoice for fifty percent of the total project cost, or, for more extensive projects with longer-than-average timelines, alternative payment schedules may be agreed upon.

Step Four: Web site hosting

If you don't already have a domain name for your site, we can help you choose an appropriate one, check its availability and register it for you. If you already have a domain name, we'll discuss where it is currently hosted and offer our hosting services. Most often, our clients find that the speed and performance of our network, coupled with our attractive pricing, make hosting with us a compelling value. If the site is to remain hosted elsewhere, we'll arrange access to the server so we can begin the building and design process.

Step Five: Design and content

To begin designing, we first need to agree on a "look and feel." This decision includes elements such as color schemes, fonts, use of photos or illustrations, logo placement, and the most appropriate style/voice for the written content. We generally like to present two different design concepts based on these design parameters. We’ll discuss the pros and cons of each, and work closely with you in selecting the best approach for achieving your goals.

It may happen that you choose concept one, but really like an element from concept two. In that situation, we would revise the chosen design to include the desired element. Up to three rounds of revisions are typically provided. Each revision will be reviewed and approved by you before advancing to the next step.
